About Us
Shahid Jabar Exemplary High School is a public, co-educational school in Slemani, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Founded in 2001 by Kurdistan Save the Children, the school offers top-quality education to gifted students — entirely free of charge.
We empower high-achievers through an English-based curriculum rooted in science, technology and languages.
We welcome 60 students yearly — 50 public & 10 private — selected from over 200 applicants through our rigorous entrance exam and admission process.
Our school bears the name of Shahid Jabbar Haji Rashid, born 1945, a champion of education and Kurdish freedom.
